  • Stability and clearer error messages September 2026

    - Precipitation maps use measured distribution profiles where they are known, now also for Hunter MP800 (MP815, MP820) and strip nozzles

    - The hydraulic calculation copes with looped main pipes, valve boxes at a tee or partway along a main pipe, and pipe points that nearly touch

The irrisketch.ru, irrisketch.com and irrisketch.ua domains are registered. The registration of the last one was refused: in the UA zone the trademark must first be registered in that jurisdiction, and there was no money for that. I hope this will not stop irrigation contractors from Ukraine. Come on in, brothers, there are no borders on the Internet!

  • IRRISketch Residential v. 0.0.1 October 18, 2017

IRRISketch was used to design a real automatic irrigation system for the first time, but unfortunately the customer refused the installation for unknown reasons and stopped answering calls... Hmm... probably he was confused by how quickly the system was designed...

  • IRRISketch was invented December 31, 2016

On New Year's Eve, an irrigation contractor from Russia, suffering from idleness and off-season unemployment, came up with how to make his work easier in the coming season with the three inventions below. He was tired of the tedious and incomprehensible interfaces of specialised CAD systems, worn out by counting fittings and related equipment by hand, and it had become totally unbearable for him to do the hydraulic calculations for each system, putting the Reynolds number into the Darcy-Weisbach formula again and again to find the pressure loss in a pipe. This is how the idea of IRRISketch was born.

  • The Internet was developed January 1, 1983

This happened when the ARPANET switched from the NCP protocol to TCP/IP, which is still successfully used to connect networks all around the world. Later, in 1989, scientists at CERN in Europe developed the HTTP protocol and the HTML language, whose improved versions we use in our web pages today.

  • The first programmable computer was invented February 14, 1946

ENIAC, a 30-ton monster created in the US, contained 18,000 electronic tubes. Like the first sprinkler, that computer was definitely not user-friendly.

  • The first sprinkler was invented December 19, 1871

A citizen of Buffalo, New York, invented the first lawn sprinkler, patent number US121949A. Its functionality was certainly not so hot, the range of nozzles was small, and it was hard to move around, so he had to invent wheels for it, too.
